You can step out of your apartment and take one of several walking/hiking paths leading through the vineyards and orchards below. In the morning, it's a pleasant thirty-minute walk up the path to the village of Saignon.

You'll enjoy breakfast pastries and coffee Chez Christine, lunch or dinner in one of several restaurants in the village, or just meandering through this old village perché. There are many hiking options in the region via well marked trails and easily reached by car. In addition to the nearby village of Saignon, the area has many charming villages, each with its own personality and appeal. Provence is famous for the light and many artists still come to paint and others to take photographs.

The historic city of Apt is a short ten-minute drive. In Apt you'll find several supermarkets, shops and stores, as well as numerous cafés and restaurants. The local cinema offers films in many languages including English. Apt's Saturday market is held throughout the year and is one of the largest in Provence. Many of the surrounding villages have a weekly market. The famous Sunday market in L'Isle Sur Le Sorgue is only a forty-minute drive and the antiques dealers are open year around. The side by side arrangement of the units on the lower level make them ideal for two couples or a family to enjoy each other's companionship while having their own living space.
